The Venice Biennale is an Italian foundation that organizes various events each year based on various themes. The most developed areas are architecture, contemporary art, music and cinema.
For the 2019 edition, which will mark the 58th international exhibition, the event will start on May 11 and end on November 24, 2019. As every year, various stands and pavilions are present on site, that is to say in Venice, for exhibit different themes and products. Many artists from around the world are at the rendezvous including African and Indian artists, specially invited for the occasion.
This new edition will also host for the first time a Madagascar pavilion that will exhibit contemporary art of Madagascar through a famous artist: Joel Andrianomearisoa. This is a consecration for the Malagasy multidisciplinary artist, proud to present to the world his work full of sensuality. For those who already know him, the art of Joel Andrianomearisoa is rather marked by the exploration of the black color and by the relation to the body and the verb.
To the delight of this artist, his works will be seen and studied by over 600,000 visitors, most of them European. Note that this is a great artist who is used to representing his homeland in various international exhibitions. Several prestigious international cultural institutions have already welcomed his creations, including the Smithsonian in Washington, the Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin, the Pompidou Center in Paris, etc.
