« Adventure, Discovered and Wellness at the same time »
A new discovery in the Boeny region. Or maybe not! This new jewel is named Nosy Antsoheribory, a free paradise on the west coast of Madagascar.
Seen from above, this site surprises with its beautiful raw beaches and unique flora and fauna. The pleasures of the land and sea merge and make this small island an ecological site full of surprises.
Formerly, this site was an ancient land of the Antalaotra ethnic group. It is now part of one of the remarkable sites of Mahavavy Kinkony Complex Protected Area in Boeny Bay. Today, the traces of the Antalaotra civilization are still visible, you can see there mosques, tombs, barrack and vestiges of the houses of the Sultans. The most remarkable is the former Arab trading post of the seventeenth century.
The natural riches present on the island are composed of an impressive forest of baobabs of the species of Adansonia digitata and local plantations like the thorny shrubs, the lataniers and the coconut palms. During a visit, you can taste the well water which, according to the regulars, is very sweet. We also enjoy the sandy coast to the west and the rocky coast to the east. In all, the island is spread over 2.5km long and 500m wide.
It sits right in front of Boeny Aranta and is accessible by sea at 3h speedboat from Katsepy. From Boeny Aranta to Nosy Antsoheribory, visitors will enjoy the trip by canoe about twenty minutes. Those who want to stay for a few days can stay in the village of Boeny Aranta.
